I wanted a little more control over the audio at our games than what my iPhone let me do, so for the last year and a half was bringing up my MacBook and playing music from iTunes. For 6 bucks I think this little app is pretty solid. I tried it out last night at our home game and it worked fine. However, I had to act quickly at one point when the music stored in the "Other" directory would not shut off when I touched the title - it just kept restarting the track. I had to jump to "Live" mic to kill the music. The ability to add to the "Situation" and "Other" sections is good, but Id like to see a volume level that was app-wide. The regular music sections level control is great, but sometimes when jumping out of that mode and into a specially track it blasted a little too loud.
I guess its just how you utilize this app. If youre like me and edit audio down so it comes in at chorus lines or at certain breaks in a song, then compile a playlist its fine. But if youre just looking for music, youre iPod or iPhone is fine. I hope the makers keep updating the app with more organs and sound effects as well… and dont be scared to use excitable voices! The monotone PA announcer is a little boring!
And for the nay-sayers here, Im not a fake review. Im Jeff up in Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia! Go Eastern Shore Atom Vipers!
